Sophisticated Strings is a professional string quartet composed of players with considerable experience of the classical and light music repertoire, gained from individual membership of:-

Sophisticated Strings has played at a number of venues and events across the UK including business promotions, conferences, weddings, anniversaries and garden parties. Illustrative engagements include business promotions for British Airways and Nissan, conferences at Earl's Court and Cambridge University, weddings and other social events at exclusive hotels and country homes.

The quartet's style can be adapted to suit most occasions. For weddings, clients might opt for a more formal repertoire for the religious or civil ceremony but prefer a more informal style for the subsequent reception. Similarly, for business events the repertoire allows for flexibility and the sensitivity of the quartet offers adaptability to reflect the shifting mood as the occasion evolves.

The Music

Music can be chosen to suit any occasion with popular melodies, classical quartets and film music when appropriate. Organisers are encouraged to discuss their general preferences in advance - musical arrangements can even be commissioned in response to specific requests.
